Travel RN - PACUAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week Level I Trauma Center assignment requiring Critical Care/PACU experience and on-call availability.PACU unit within a Level I Trauma Center settingPatient mix includes adults and pediatricsDay shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM-6:30 PM)On-call required: 2 weekday on-call shifts plus 1 weekend 12-hour on-call shift within a 6-week scheduleIncludes 1 summer and 1 winter on-call holiday coveragePossible floating to Tabor GI or Pain Center as neededUses Cerner Aecis SurgiNet charting system13-week assignment lengthBlock scheduling cannot be accommodatedActive RN license (PA or Compact) required at time of considerationRequired certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC2+ years of experience in Critical Care or PACU required3 years of experience preferredLevel I Trauma Center and ICU background requiredTeaching hospital experience requiredSICU, MICU, and CTICU experience preferredPrior travel experience in Critical Care/PACU preferredExperience with 1:2 patient ratiosSkilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, intubation, extubation, and ABG interpretationExperience with IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administrationExperience with cardiac monitoring including arterial lines and CVPPass/fail clinical exam required for clearance (up to 3 attempts allowed)2 valid professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for considerationCopies of certifications required for considerationProvide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients across multiple specialties including neuro, ortho, cardiovascular, GI, and plasticsSupport surgery types including robotics, transplant, thoracic, and vascular proceduresAdminister and monitor various anesthesia types including general, spinal, MAC, and nerve blocksManage pain assessment, PCA pumps, and sedation scales such as RASSPerform pre/post op assessments, education, and medication reconciliationScrubs providedRTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be acceptedMust reside within 50 miles for standard local rate; local candidates accepted at a different rateFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyLabs must be completed within 48 hours of signingPA fingerprinting required, which may involve travel over 100 miles and must be completed within 1 week of signingHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
