2nd Shift - CNC Turn/Lathe Machinist

CNC Turn / Lathe Machinist 2nd Shift Russ Hadick & Associates is partnering with an aerospace manufacturing organization to hire a CNC Turn / Lathe Machinist for a precision machining environment. This opportunity is ideal for a machinist with CNC turning experience who enjoys working on complex components in a job shop setting where quality, accuracy, and problem solving are part of the daily work. Position Overview This role focuses on CNC turning operations supporting aerospace production. You’ll machine round and cylindrical components requiring tight tolerances while working in a modern manufacturing environment. The machinist will support turning processes from setup through completion, collaborating with quality and engineering teams as needed. Candidates should be comfortable reading technical drawings, adjusting machine offsets, and performing in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. This is not production-only work. Parts vary, setups change, and operators are expected to understand the machining process. Preferred Background CNC turning / lathe experience Experience setting up jobs and adjusting offsets Comfortable working from blueprints and technical documentation Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Manufacturing or machine shop background (aerospace strongly preferred) Basic shop math and mechanical aptitude Familiarity with CNC controls or G/M codes is helpful but not required Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Trade school or equivalent hands‑on machining experience accepted.
