About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Payer Relations to join their mission of advancing patient care and healthcare innovation. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in payer contracting, managed care operations, and healthcare finance. This role is pivotal in ensuring that patients have access to the care they need while also supporting the financial sustainability of the organization. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and executing the company's payer strategy, leading complex contract negotiations, and guiding a high-performing team. Collaboration with various leaders across the organization is essential to shape payer strategy, advance value-based care initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Master's degree with at least 8 years' of experience or a Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years' of experience in a related field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading high-value payer negotiations, expertise in reimbursement methodologies, and a strong understanding of the healthcare regulatory and managed care landscape, particularly within the New York State environment. The role requires a leader with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, and a talent for driving change management efforts. A background in value-based care models, risk-based contracting, and alternative payment approaches is highly valued, as is experience with financial modeling and business intelligence tools.
