Overview of the Gynecologist Position:As a Gynecologist within our facility, you will deliver comprehensive gynecological care to women veterans in both outpatient and inpatient environments. Your responsibilities will encompass preventive care, diagnosis, and management of a wide array of gynecological conditions and procedures. You will work closely with primary care and specialty teams to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide outpatient and inpatient gynecologic consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including office-based gynecologic interventions and minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care, surgical specialties, and mental health professionals.
- Engage in quality improvement projects, committees, and initiatives to enhance the Women’s Health Program.
- Mentor and educate trainees and staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with VA policies.
- Contribute to the development of protocols and standards of care for gynecological services.
