Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI Lab

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position requiring 4 ten-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with some weekend and holiday call responsibilities.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will serve as an intra-op circulation nurse in the Endoscopy/GI Lab. You will be involved in various procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, and Hemorrhoid banding, while ensuring high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative nursing care without sedation.
• Assist in endoscopic procedures, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to protocols.
• Work collaboratively with a team of surgical techs to facilitate efficient workflow in the lab.
• Maintain documentation and patient records in the Epic charting system.
• Participate in call rotations, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
