Job Description
The 5S/Shop Helper plays a vital role as part of a dedicated 5S team, supporting manufacturing and production areas through effective implementation of 5S principles and general shop assistance. This position involves moderate physical activity and frequent use of basic hand tools, material handling equipment, and cleaning tools, emphasizing safety compliance and organization to maintain an efficient work environment without requiring travel or relocation.
Responsibilities
- Implement 5S methodology to improve workplace organization and efficiency
- Assist with material handling and movement within the shop
- Support cleaning and maintenance activities to uphold cleanliness standards
- Organize tools and equipment to enhance accessibility and orderliness
- Manage waste disposal in compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Ensure safety compliance throughout the shop
- Support inventory tracking and replenishment efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production support
- Basic knowledge of 5S methodology
- Experience with manual material handling
- Strong safety awareness
- Effective teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Clear communication abilities
