Our goal is to make sure all children have the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to learn, grow and realize their potential.About The RoleThe Staff Accountant works under the general direction and supervision of the Finance Manager to provide accounting services including preparation of timely and accurate account reconciliations, journal entries, revenue, and expense allocations, lead the month-end closing process, and assist in the preparation of financial statements for internal and external users.What You'll Be DoingOversee Electronic Attendance audit.Responsible to prepare and submit EPAR to the StateResponsible to maintain inventory subledger to match with GLReview and approve A/R, A/R aging, Cash Receipt, Salesforce journal entries.Review and approve Parent Fee deposits and JE.Follow Provider's contract agreement, invoice template, etc.Review and approve provider payments from AR staff.Parent fees write off, collections agency transmittal, etc.Review and approve AR aging report reconciliation.Prepare prepaid expense reconciliation.Record Fixed Asset depreciation and prepare FA schedule.Assist in preparing the State Quarterly Reports.Bank reconciliationsAssist in preparation of PRGL journal entries.Assist in preparing monthly agency financial statements.Program budget versus actual variances analysis.Assist in preparing 571L, Welfare Exemptions and other Counties requirements.Hire, train, supervise and evaluate accounting staff.Perform other duties as assigned by Finance/ Accounting Manager or Director of Finance.Preferred qualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance plus three or more years of related experience or equivalent preferredExcellent Excel skills required.Experience with Sage Intacct, Paysimple, Positive Pay, and Center Track software's is a plus.Previous experience in public accounting and nonprofit environment a plusSelf-motivated and able to plan daily workload effectively and efficiently.An analytical thinker and a team playerExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness and ability to learn and to lead the accounting functions.Able to multitask prioritizes and works accurately while meeting deadlines.Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate changing priorities.Excellent problem-solving skills and a great attention to detail.Comfortable and ability to manage high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment.Willing and able to work extended hours, if necessary, to meet pressing deadlines.Impeccable integrity, high degree of discretion and excellent judgmentAbility to provide leadership, accept responsibility, work independently, and set own goals in a professional manner.Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously and able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.Supervisory experience required.Compensation$99,131.76 - $99,131.76 USDAdditional RequirementsMust pass a health screening and TB testMust pass background fingerprint clearanceValid Driver LicenseMust be 18 years or olderThe ability to lift up to 30lbs may be needed during some job dutiesThe employee will be required to use hands for computer work, answering phone calls, etc.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functionsPerksAn opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems, and change the worldFriendly, supportive, and adventurous environment with a team of engaged colleaguesA comprehensive, industry-leading benefits packageOpportunities to connect with and learn from colleagues and partners around the worldDrug-Free WorkplaceWe believe every employee has the right to work in an environment that is free from all forms of unlawful discrimination.
