Position Purpose:

This position is primarily responsible for supporting clients by providing banking services, managing transactions, and assisting with financial solutions while gaining experience and developing skills for career growth in the banking industry. This role involves working closely with business and ag clients to manage their financial portfolios, support their growth, and ensure their banking requirements are met efficiently.

Qualities of the successful candidate include:

• Three to five years of prior lending experience preferred
• Customer Service Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and providing effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication to interact with clients, colleagues, and management.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in transactions, financial analysis, and record-keeping.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and find efficient solutions, particularly in customer service and loan processing.
• Sales and Persuasion Skills: Ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services to existing and potential clients.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, assess client needs, and support lending decisions.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Working effectively within a team and supporting senior bankers and other colleagues in achieving branch goals
• Banking Products and Services: Understanding of a wide range of financial products (e.g., loans, savings accounts, credit cards) and services offered by the bank.
• Financial Analysis: Basic knowledge of financial statements, credit risk assessment, and loan underwriting processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of banking regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., KYC, AML).
• Risk Management: Knowledge of risk management principles and practices, especially in lending and investment activities.
• Banking Software: Familiarity with banking systems, software, and tools used for account management, transactions, and financial analysis.
• Market Trends: Awareness of current economic conditions, market trends, and their impact on banking operations and financial products.
• Must have the ability to calculate figures and have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and work under stress and pressure.
• Must be dependable, trustworthy and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be available and willing to travel to offsite locations when the employer deems it necessary to meet business or ag needs.
• Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written. Must be able to communicate with co-workers, colleagues, and customers effectively and professionally.

Responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to):

• Assisting clients with daily banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account management.
• Supporting senior bankers in managing customer relationships, offering personalized financial advice, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling banking products.
• Building and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients to understand their financial needs and offer tailored banking solutions.
• Conducting financial analyses, preparing reports, and assisting with credit assessments for loan applications.
• Actively contributing to the growth of the bank's loan and deposit book by identifying potential lending opportunities and working to close deals.
• Ensuring compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and credit risk management practices.
• Managing and following up on loan applications, ensuring timely processing and communication with clients.
• Responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Compensation for positions is based on the specific position and may be paid in the form of an hourly wage, overtime, a semi-monthly salary, commissions, or a combination of them. Depending on the specific position, some may be paid solely on commissions or others may include a bonus structure.
