We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a premier life sciences GMP Manufacturing facility in Andover, MA. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a strong expertise operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility and mechanical equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various equipment and machinery. Familiar with low, medium and high-pressure steam systems. Good knowledge of rebuilding and replacing motors and pumps. Experience with compressed air and vacuum pump systems. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Conduct equipment inspections and document findings. Collaborate with other departments to improve equipment performance and reliability. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Participate in equipment installation, modification, and upgrade projects. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs as needed. Perform other tasks and execute work orders as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience as a mechanic or machinist preferably in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and schematics Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Capable of standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery. This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position 72,800.00 – 81,120.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
