Job Overview This is a part‑time role, typically scheduled for 30 hours per week, delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. The role focuses on identifying customer needs, providing advice on financial solutions, and fostering a seamless banking experience across branch and digital channels. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identify customer needs and provide best‑interest advice and guidance regarding financial solutions. Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to achieve business objectives and desired customer experience. Guide customers in the lobby and offer advice on digital and self‑serve options to simplify banking. Conduct client conversations about banking services, recommend alternative channels, and provide personal banking and investment advice. Meet transaction‑based customer needs with seamless execution. Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs. Contribute to meeting branch business results and the overall customer experience. Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow‑up, filing, opening and closing. Probe to understand personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations for strategic advice. Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Initiate creative approaches to personalize each customer’s experience. Identify ways to improve the overall customer experience and contribute to ongoing improvement. Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and act in customers’ best interest. Keep current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and industry ethical requirements. Maintain knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends to integrate into conversations. Identify and report suspicious patterns related to money laundering. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction. Complete complex and diverse tasks within guidelines and limits, analyze issues, determine next steps, and elevate as required. Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying the Risk Management Framework in line with the Risk Culture and approved Risk Appetite. Qualifications & Skills Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Canadian registration to sell investment products completed or in progress within 12 months (as appropriate). Confidence and experience using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications. Some experience in consultative customer service or sales roles with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience. Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions for referral to specialists. Passionate commitment to helping customers and a focus on results. Ability to thrive in a consultative sales and team‑based environment. Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers. Good collaboration and team skills. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills. Salary & Benefits Salary: $41,714.00 - $50,000.00 (Pay Type: Salaried). Salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications, and may include a commission structure. For part‑time roles, salaries are pro‑rated based on the number of hours regularly worked.
