Valet Attendant - Sea Sprite Hotel $17.50/HR + Tips

Job Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, delivering messages, and providing information about facilities and local attractions. Compensation & Benefits Hourly base pay: $17.50 per hour plus tips with a $1 shift differential for overnight shifts. Eligible employees may enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements based on job classification, length of service and hours worked; seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible. Responsibilities Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor, using titles and guest last names where appropriate. Use proper Towne Park phone etiquette and employ the salutation of the day when greeting guests. Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage. Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries, providing information on outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions. Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations. Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival and issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys. Collects claim checks from all guests before issuing keys; completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts. Consistently completes vehicle location tags after parking and calculates revenue for vehicles when required. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid driver’s license for the state of employment. At least one month of related work experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of customer service principles and processes. Ability to read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with single or double-digit numbers and American currency). Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time, as well as applicable rates for time passed. Desirable skills: operating a manual transmission and performing parallel parking. Physical & Working Conditions Work involves frequent sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, running, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and operating in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions. Employees may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must meet various visual acuity standards.
