Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Upstate New York

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 14:30-03:00 (2:30 PM - 3:00 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week; block scheduling subject to availability

Highlights:

• 64-bed Emergency Department with diverse patient populations including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Comprehensive case mix: stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility
• Unit features 40 acute beds, 2 trauma bays, 10 Clinical Decision Unit beds, 6 psych beds, 6 super track, and 2 triage areas
• Specialty equipment experience including Rapid Infuser and Arctic Sun therapeutic hypothermia system
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred; floating to other units required

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license verified through NURSYS
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric patient experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (all required)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with critical drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neosynephrine, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Clevidipine, Cardene, Nitroglycerin), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation medications (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) care provision expected for assigned patients
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility for travel rate eligibility; local candidates considered at adjusted rate
