EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 
  High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  
  



• 
  Successful completion of Surgical Technology program, either technical or military
  
  



• 
  One year experience (CVOR preferred)
  
  

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

• 
  Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  
  



• 
  Certification in Surgical Technology
  
  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Support patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking and anticipation of case-specific needs.
  
  



• 
  Prepare, maintain, and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
  
  



• 
  Maintain sterile technique and support efficient surgical workflow.
  
  



• 
  Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members.
  
  



• 
  Demonstrate accountability for performance, professional development, and continuous learning.
  
  



• 
  Participate in inventory management and cost containment efforts related to supplies and instrumentation.
