Job Description
The Production Coordinator manages the daily flow of orders on the production floor, ensuring work is scheduled, prioritized, and completed efficiently. This role coordinates tasks across the team, supports production polishing activities when needed, and uses digital tools to track progress and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities

• Manage daily order flow to ensure work progresses smoothly through the production process.
• Schedule and distribute work across the team based on priorities and production capacity.
• Read, interpret, and prioritize work orders to align with production timelines and customer requirements.
• Perform production polishing duties as needed to support throughput and meet deadlines.
• Use a computer or tablet to track work orders, update job status, and maintain accurate production records.
• Coordinate closely with production staff to ensure tasks are completed in the correct sequence and to quality standards.
• Assist with production activities such as sanding, deburring, and metal finishing when required.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying workflow issues and communicating them to leadership.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production scheduling and schedule planning within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Reading comprehension skills to accurately interpret and follow work orders and instructions.
• Ability to read and write to complete documentation and communicate effectively in a production setting.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for tracking work, entering data, and updating job status.
• Hands-on experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with polishing, sanding, deburring, or metal finishing is helpful.
• Experience working with machinery in a production environment is an advantage.
• Interest in growing into a lead or department manager role over time.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an existing supervisory team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Work Environment
The role is based in a production and manufacturing environment focused on metal finishing processes such as polishing, sanding, deburring, and related work. You will work with production equipment and machinery and use a computer or tablet regularly to track orders and update job status. The facility operates as a hands-on, shop-floor setting where safety, quality, and efficiency are priorities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pawtucket, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
