Senior Accounting Manager

A public biotech startup is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to help oversee and scale the financial close process, SEC reporting, and clinical accruals in an exciting growth stage. The company has a healthy cash runway and an experienced leadership team with deep biotech expertise, making this the perfect opportunity for cross-functional biotech accounting leaders who want to make a big impact in a high-growth environment. Responsibilities Oversee GL accounting, owning the financial close and strengthening internal processes Support preparation and/or review of clinical and preclinical R&D accruals and other journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Lead the SEC reporting process in partnership with the Corporate Controller Maintain and improve internal controls in compliance with SOX 404 Oversee government and grant contracts Liaise with external auditors Manage and develop staff in accounting and AP functions Qualifications Several years of progressive accounting experience in clinical-stage life sciences Experience driving the financial close including clinical/R&D accruals Mix of public accounting and industry experience highly preferred CPA license highly preferred Experience leading and mentoring accounting teams #J-18808-Ljbffr 3 Bridge Networks
