Warehouse SupervisorThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all Inbound/Outbound activities at the Monti Sumter location and VMI operation at the Customer location. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee all day-to-day activities including but not limited to safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, process improvement, and training and mentoring of team members.Supervisory Responsibilities:Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.Oversees the daily workflow of the department.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Performs other related duties as assigned.Duties/Responsibilities:Supervises staff and coordinates operation of the Shipping Department.Reviews Shipping Requirements and schedules required OT to fulfillCoordinates and communicates with other supervisors and operations staff.Plans and assigns work, trains employees, and has authority to discipline, and make performance decisions and evaluation reviews.Responsible for maintaining product quality standards.Receives direction from the Operations Manager.Exercises direct supervision over Shipping, Receiving, VMI and logistic employees for his/her shift for responsibilityPlan, prioritize, supervise, and review the work of employees responsible for daily shipments.Participate in the selection of staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.Prepare various reports on production and activities.Generates cycle counts.Generates pick sheets 2 times a dayOrders own supplies and maintains adequate inventory.Fixes discrepancies when miscounted and adjusts inventory accordingly.Scraps out any extra material.Holds employees accountable for their performance and attendance.Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.Abide by and enforce policies of the company Employee Handbook.Promote a safe and clean working environment.Effectively communicate with peer's and employees, both written and verbal communication.Work with other departments to ensure work quality and process improvements.Use business acumen to strategically plan work processes, conserve material and labor cost required, and guide all decision making.Work weekends and other overtime as needed and when appropriate.Completes other duties as assigned by manager.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentBasic computer skillsMechanical inclinationAbility and willingness to have performance measured daily on team aptitudeIntermediate Print ReadingIntermediate math skillsEducation and Experience :Associate degree or work equivalent. 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience in a warehouse environment.Physical Requirements:Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding areaMonti, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
