DATA ENTRY CLERK (FULL TIME)

We have an opening for a full time SAFETY DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST position. Location: Pfizer - 558 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340 Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. More details upon interview. Requirement: Admin support, document control, EHS programs, and the ability to work independently required. Job Summary Provides advanced clerical, customer service and administrative support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review, verify, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for laboratory chemical orders, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready. Research and obtain SDS documentation from manufacturers and upload records into designated compliance and documentation management systems. Support chemical order approval workflows by applying established procedures, documenting outcomes, and escalating complex requests to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) personnel when required. Communicate with laboratory personnel and internal stakeholders regarding documentation requirements, order status, and compliance-related inquiries while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. Performs account maintenance duties; prepares and receives vouchers and requisitions as directed. Posts transactions into a company's system, e.g., returns, inventory adjustments, etc. Reconciles records, investigates transaction errors and resolves problems. Files business documents and responds to vendor/customer inquiries. Monitors and orders office supplies and other small purchases. Arranges meetings; takes meeting minutes. Fills in for other Data Entry Clerks as needed and works cooperatively with others. Provides assistance with various administrative tasks, e.g., annual inventory counts, preparation of material requests for approval, receiving/logging materials for delivery, sizes/orders uniforms for personnel, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Two years of experience in general office, bookkeeping or personnel operations. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, e.g., Excel and Word.
