Private Bedford family seeks an experienced, polished, and highly organized Housekeeper to support the day-to-day operation of their busy household. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a service-oriented professional who genuinely enjoys hands-on housekeeping and takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming home.

The primary focus of this role is detailed housekeeping, laundry, wardrobe care, household organization, errands, and general household support. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and enjoys creating efficient household systems while maintaining the residence to the highest standards. They are equally comfortable working independently while remaining collaborative and responsive to the evolving needs of a busy household.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with engaged principals in a collaborative home environment. One principal works from home while the other is home throughout much of the day, making professionalism, emotional intelligence, and the ability to read the room essential. The successful candidate will be naturally respectful of the family's routines, comfortable sharing the home with the principals throughout the day, and possess the judgment to know when to engage, when to work independently, and how to maintain a quiet, unobtrusive presence without sacrificing warmth or approachability.

The schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 7:00pm, with occasional flexibility as needed. Housekeeping will remain the primary focus of the role throughout the day. While occasional assistance with the family's children may be requested—for example, supervising a sleeping child while a parent runs an errand or lending an extra set of hands when needed—these responsibilities are secondary to the housekeeping duties and are not a primary function of the position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform all aspects of detailed housekeeping and deep cleaning to maintain the residence to exceptionally high standards

• Maintain the overall cleanliness, presentation, and organization of the residence, ensuring the home is consistently guest-ready

• Manage all household laundry, including washing, folding, steaming, stain treatment, garment care, and meticulous wardrobe maintenance

• Change bed linens and expertly iron and dress beds, including ironing sheets, creating crisp hospital corners, and maintaining beautifully presented guest and family bedrooms

• Maintain the family's established laundry and linen care systems, ensuring wardrobes, linens, and bedding are impeccably cared for and organized

• Organize closets, pantries, storage areas, and household systems while maintaining efficient organizational routines

• Assist with light meal preparation and simple family cooking as requested

• Run household errands using the family vehicle, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns, household supply procurement, and other household-related tasks

• Maintain household inventories and communicate replenishment needs proactively

• Assist with packing, unpacking, seasonal organization projects, and general household support

• Provide occasional childcare assistance as needed while recognizing that housekeeping is the primary focus of the role

• Work collaboratively with the principals to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the household while maintaining a quiet, respectful presence throughout the day

• Additional housekeeping and household support responsibilities as requested

Requirements:

• Strong command of the English language with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent references from both current and former employers

• Minimum 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience within a private residence

• Extensive experience performing detailed housekeeping and deep cleaning to the highest private service standards

• Extensive experience with luxury household laundry, including expert garment care, fine fabric maintenance, sheet ironing, linen pressing, hospital corner bed making, and beautifully presented bedroom resets

• Demonstrated knowledge of professional laundry techniques, stain treatment, fabric care, wardrobe management, and luxury household linen maintenance

• Exceptional attention to detail with a genuine pride in maintaining an impeccably clean and organized home

• Highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate household needs while taking ownership of household responsibilities

• Comfortable working collaboratively alongside hands-on principals, including one principal who works from home and another who is home throughout much of the day

• Professional, emotionally intelligent, and naturally intuitive with the ability to read the room and maintain a quiet, unobtrusive presence while respecting the family's routines and privacy

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and confidence running household errands using the provided vehicle

• High level of discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality

• Legally authorized to work within the United States

Compensation: $45 - $50 Hourly + Benefits, commensurate with experience
