Resort Restaurant Server

Job Purpose:Provides service to guests by delivering food and drinksJob Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)Provides guests with service by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the restaurant area, promptly taking and serving food and beverage orders, entering orders into the property management system, entering discounts, processing and returning change or receipt following established procedures. - 50%Promotes guest relations by responding to guest requests, offering appropriate up to date information regarding promotional contests and giveaways, providing requested assistance and product knowledge, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner. - 15%Provides accounting of transactions during shift by entering cash transactions in to point of sale system, counting currency, logging guest discounts, vouchers, VIP points and credit cards on to cashier drop work sheet, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the food services management team. - 10%Ensures responsible alcohol beverage service polices are followed by asking for proper identification from guests that appear to be under the age of 30, monitoring alcohol consumption, ensuring guests do not become intoxicated following established procedures, stopping alcohol service at the designated time, and clearing the room of all alcoholic containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified. - 10%Maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning surfaces, picking up used plates, cups, condiments and utensils, and disposing of all trash. - 10%Ensures restaurant stations are stocked and clean by placing delivered water, food and supplies in designated areas, replenishing condiments in the server stations, polishing glassware and silverware, folding napkins, and cleaning shelves, condiment holders, tables and counters according to established procedures. - 5%Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:Current food handlers card1 year of food server experienceDesirable:Guest or Hospitality ServiceFine dining server experienceSkills and Knowledge:Essential:Ability to work effectively with team members and guestsAbility to communicate effectively in the English languageAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to count cash and make change in a fast-paced environmentAbility to recognize counterfeit moniesAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsAbility to complete forms and documentsAbility to understand verbal directives and written instructionsAbility to accept constructive criticismAbility to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a timeAbility to carry large serving tray and tray jacksAbility to bend, stoop, push and pullAbility to appear for work on timeAbility to routinely lift and carry 35 poundsDesirable:Multi LingualSupervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: None
