Product Marketing Engineer

Position Overview Balluff Inc. is seeking Product Marketing Engineers at our Florence, KY facility to develop proposals and customer requirements for IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) systems and component products, including industrial cabling (sensor cables, cordsets, network cables), power supplies, inductive couplers, Smart Lights ("stack" lights) and machine lighting. Responsibilities Conduct SWOT analysis and identify pricing, technology trends, and new applications for competitive products; regularly communicate this information with sales, industry, and global teams. Collaborate with Operational Marketing, Strategic Marketing, and Technology Teams, providing the voice of the customer across diverse market segments for portfolio roadmaps. Create plans for product launches and targeted advertising materials, revising sales strategies to eliminate barriers to target markets and customers. Coordinate the development and integration of IIOT systems, focusing on software, hardware, and network architecture. Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure IIOT solutions perform as expected in real-world environments. Create comprehensive technical documentation for IIOT systems, including systems integration guides, technical specifications, and process flows for internal teams and customers. Provide advanced technical support for IIOT systems during pre- and post-sales stages, ensuring customer-specific solutions are deployed successfully. Troubleshoot and resolve complex IIOT system-level issues, providing technical expertise to ensure efficient problem resolution. Travel up to 25‑35% of the time within the United States, primarily to the Midwest or Southeast for customer visits and trade shows. Qualifications Candidates must have a master’s degree in computer engineering or a closely related field and 24 months of experience as a product applications specialist or software engineer/developer.
