Yard Jockey

Yard Jockey Summary:

The primary function of this position is to move equipment around the facility while monitoring temperatures.

Schedule: 2nd Shift from 4:00 pm to 4:00 am- Off days: Wed/Thurs/Sun

Job Functions:

• Operate yard truck to move equipment around facility.
• Pre-cool trailers according to the guidelines set forth in the Domestic Transportation Manual.
• Perform periodic yard checks to ensure loads are always maintained at proper temperatures.
• Maintain a good driving record and comply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations.
• Report any vehicle problems and defects to the Supervisor for immediate attention.
• Fill out all necessary paperwork to perform job duties. (Trailer Inspection Report)
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Excellent driving record.
• It must pass drug test and background check.
• Prefer over the road experience.
• Driving experience within the city.
• CDL A Required
