Description Summary Supervises a team of security guards that are responsible for monitoring company grounds to people and property. Provides first level supervision (usually supervises less than 25 positions) and may perform full security officer job functions. Responsibilities Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment Maintains and promotes professionalism Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate -- files, logs, records, reports, etc. Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development Maintains knowledge of, follows, and enforces all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Prepares weekly reports Mentors, coaches, develops and assists in training in assigned area Assigns, reviews, monitors and ensures performance of assigned staff for area of responsibility Participates in candidate selection process Assigns tasks and responsibilities of assigned staff Reviews and documents work effectiveness of assigned staff Coaches and corrects assigned staff through performance deficiencies Observes and documents work behaviors of assigned staff Ensures cooperative and respectful work relationship of assigned staff including interpersonal training and resolving internal issues Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines for assigned work area May be required to act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the manager to ensure all operational standards are maintained Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate -- files, logs, records, reports, etc. Communicates via radio per division and position protocols Communicates with other team members, departments, guests and management Shares general and important information Listens to others Follows divisional, departmental and organizational protocols Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information Maintains knowledge of, follows, and enforces all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Prepares incidents reports Monitors and ensures the safety of guests, employees and tribal assets based on assigned duty station May guard facility entrances - controlling access and alarming others as necessary Escorts patrons or guests Escorts/monitors drop team and money carts when assigned to gaming facility May prepare temporarty visitor IDs Responds to security breaches Executes internal and external patrols of assigned areas and locations Monitors opening and closing machines for routine repairs and maintenance when assigned to gaming facility Engages in and de-escalates contentious situations with visitors, patrons, patients, employees, etc. Prepares daily reports Follows guidelines to protect guests and employees in emergency situations such as inclement weather, fire, active shooter, etc. Communicates employee concerns to the next level supervision or management and participates in investigations while maintaining confidentiality; effectively resolves all minor concerns or complaints Ensures all audits, reports and other operational communications are accurate and timely Completes a variety of standard and ad hoc reports as required Assists staff with accomplishing goals Ensures staff stays in assigned areas Investigates and resolves discrepancies Resolves minor employee concerns Communicates area performance and operational information to line of support Approves/denies time off requests In a timely manner, assists in resolving customer and employee complaints not resolvable by subordinates by listening, investigating and answering questions Interviews and selects job candidates May perform tasks, duties and responsibilities of subordinate roles Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies Essential: Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Ensures compliance Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Good driving record and be insurable by the Chickasaw Nation Operate standard and automatic vehicles Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Works well within a team Ability to train individuals or small groups on specific tasks or procedures and engage with different learning styles Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Keeps written records Prepares role specific reports Skills Essential: Basic Computer skills Skilled in operating a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment) Nonessential: Proficient in use and non-use of firearms Experience Essential: 2 years directly related experience Education Essential: High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials Essential: Must be over 18 years old Pass gaming background check Pass general background check Pass Indian Child Welfare background check Phase I Phase II Standard Driver's License Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Nonessential: Must be 21 years of age or older Phase IV unless prohibited (e.g. Hospital) Working Conditions Essential: Work locations may include casinos, hospitals, office buildings, or remote facilities Casino May work where cigarette smoking occurs Bright and Flashing lights Noisy Fast-paced environment High traffic area where people may congregate May be required to de-escalate argumentative, hostile or similar situations May have to subdue violators May be required to deal with situations that are potentially dangerous Use computer up to 25% of shift Sitting up to 25% of shift Standing up to 100% of shift Walking up to 75% of shift Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp Manual dexterity Repetitive motions Listening and hearing ability Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Sometimes climb stairs May be required to run Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs May work evenings, weekends or holidays Pass pre-employment drug test Nonessential: Minor injuries, e.g. muscle aches, scratches, cuts or burns Multi-gear bicycle Training It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
