Pay Differentials Offered (must qualify through testing or verification):
- Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Multilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $2.00 per hour
Overview: The IT Technician at Redwood Community Services is pivotal in ensuring seamless operation of internal and external IT systems. This role focuses on delivering top-tier technical support to staff, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining the agency's technology infrastructure. Responsibilities include installing and upgrading software/hardware, generating actionable reports, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. As a key support contact, the IT Technician manages helpdesk operations, troubleshoots technical challenges, and safeguards the performance and security of IT assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver responsive technical support, perform routine system maintenance, and create user-friendly guides and training programs.
- Monitor system performance, execute regular backups, manage cybersecurity tools, and produce data-driven reports to uncover trends and drive improvements.
- Leverage strong problem-solving skills, deep knowledge of IT systems, and clear communication to resolve issues and enhance user experience.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years in IT support, with the ability to thrive independently and collaboratively.
- Comprehensive expertise in computer hardware, software, and network systems.
Conditions of Employment:
- May work across all agency programs as needed.
- Occasional flexible work schedule required to meet individual client needs.
- Must possess a valid CA Driver's License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
- Must pass a clear background check with DOJ, CACI, FBI, CCL.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
Training Provided:
- Comprehensive onboarding including CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
