EP Registered Nurse

Overview Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking an EP Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology (EP) studies, ablations, device implants, and related cardiac procedures in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team that includes cardiologists, EP physicians, technologists, and other nursing professionals, you will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, development and implementation of individualized care plans, continuous monitoring of hemodynamic and cardiac rhythms, and timely communication of changes in patient status. You will administer medications, including moderate sedation according to policy, manage vascular access, assist with sterile procedures, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record. Responsibilities The EP Registered Nurse will coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, including patient education on procedures, medications, and post-discharge instructions, while advocating for patient safety and comfort at every step. You will triage and prioritize care for complex cardiac patients, support rapid response situations, and follow established protocols and clinical pathways to optimize outcomes. Collaboration is central to this role; you will participate in case planning, handoffs, and interdisciplinary rounds, contributing your clinical expertise and supporting a culture of teamwork and respect.
