Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Junior Lead Tier 1 - Ground Handler to support a fast-paced fulfillment and delivery operation in Sachse, TX.

This position combines hands-on fulfillment responsibilities with junior leadership duties. You will actively participate in picking, packing, quality control, inventory, and aircraft loading while also supporting the Operations Team Lead with daily workflow, team coordination, safety, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, retail, fulfillment, or operations environment and is comfortable stepping into a leadership role when needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on while continuing to develop their leadership experience.

responsibilities:



Pick & Pack Orders: Accurately locate, pick, and pack customer orders according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Perform Quality Control: Complete weight, accuracy, and quality checks to ensure orders meet operational requirements.

Load Delivery Aircraft: Safely and securely load approved packages onto delivery aircraft while following all required safety procedures.

Prepare the Site for Operations: Assist with daily setup and ensure the operational area is clean, organized, safe, and ready for activity.

Support Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.

Maintain Equipment: Properly handle operational equipment and promptly report equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns.

Support Team Leadership: Assist the Operations Team Lead with daily workflow and help guide frontline team members throughout the shift.

Step Into Leadership: Help coordinate onsite activities and maintain efficient operations when senior team members are unavailable.

Promote Safety & Compliance: Lead by example, follow all safety policies and SOPs, and assist with addressing operational or safety concerns.

Support Operational Performance: Monitor workflow and help the team achieve expectations related to accuracy, throughput, cycle times, and other operational goals.

qualifications:
2+ years of leadership, team lead, training, or similar experience in a fast-paced environment such as logistics, retail, warehouse, fulfillment, or operations.

Strong hands-on operational skills and willingness to work alongside the team.

Familiarity with warehouse, fulfillment, or supply chain processes.

Exposure to operational performance metrics such as order accuracy, throughput, productivity, or cycle times is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Valid driver's license and ability to drive between work sites as needed.

Ability to successfully complete required background screening and local training.

Ability to work outdoors and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Ability to push a cart weighing up to 160 lbs. up a ramp.

Availability to work within operating hours of 6:00 AM-10:00 PM, 7 days per week, based on business and scheduling needs, up to 40 hours per week.
