Affiliate Registered NurseReno, NV2 positions available, 1 part-time and 1 full-timeHiring at: $45/hrGeneral DutiesResponsible for assuring non-licensed staff are qualified in performing back office/lab skills and achieve core competency levels on an annual basisProvides input for the medical component of the non-licensed staff performance reviewsOversees patient triage for medical problems and acute versus routine appointments for both reproductive health and primary care patientsWorks with Center Manager or designee to facilitate flow and triageContributes to achieving health center productivity goalsDemonstrates PPMM customer service standardsIn Clinic Abortion DutiesPrepares recovery room for all in clinic abortion servicesPrepares pre-operative medicationsAssess post-operative patients for pain and bleeding control and early detection of complicationsOversees HSS functions: vital signs, post-operative instructions, education of patient identified birth control methodProvides intraoperative sedation medication and patient monitoringProvides post-operative medicationsMaintains and ensures emergency cart and equipment are stocked and currentSexual and Reproductive Health DutiesFollows standardized procedures for the following patient visits: hormonal contraception, Emergency Contraception (EC), and Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screeningProvides patient education, counseling, lab work and ultrasound for medication abortionsProvide immunizations per approved guidelines and standardized procedures, such as HPV vaccinationCentralized Follow-Up RNAccepts and signs-off GC/CT, pap and other designated lab reports from clinician's PAQEvaluates and develops plan for follow upRefers paps/other labs that are outside the scope of CFU RN to the health centers' cliniciansVerifies that all lab reports are handled appropriately and within the appropriate time frameTriage RN- Response CenterProvides advice/triage services to both reproductive health and primary care patientsIdentifies medical urgency and schedules appointments with the health centersAnswers all calls placed in queue by Response Center as outlined in the Triage PolicyResponds to patient emails through the Patient Portal in HERQualificationsAbility to perform the duties described aboveGraduation from an accredited Nursing ProgramCurrent NV State RN licenseCurrent BLS CertificateCurrent ACLS CertificateRequirementsCurrent experience using computer and mouseExperience using a Microsoft Windows based program and willing to learn new computer skillsWillingness to work flexible hours and locationsStrong customer service orientationAbility to communicate effectively
