Shift Details:

• Hours are Monday-Friday with some flexibility needed for labs and for work release scheduling with core start time to between 06:00-08:00 to accommodate for the needs of the center and work release.

• 40 hours work week

Nursing Specialty: RN Corrections

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Works independently in a clinic setting where a provider may not always be on-site.

• Assesses patients using the nursing process and manages acute, chronic, and terminal conditions within scope of practice.

• Monitors and reports changes in patients' physical or mental health and reactions to treatments or medications.

• Administers medications, vaccines, and IM/SubQ injections safely according to provider orders and medication rights.

• Processes medication refills and accurately transcribes provider orders.

• Assesses health concerns, implements appropriate interventions, and follows established nursing protocols.

• Performs point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and phlebotomy.

• Leads emergency response and provides appropriate interventions in accordance with BLS standards.

• Delegates and oversees tasks performed by licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of practice.

• Provides patient education on medications, diagnoses, treatments, and individualized care plans.

• Accurately documents all patient care, interventions, and encounters in the electronic health record.

**Minimum Qualifications **

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedWI license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of one (1) year related experience within the last 3 years

• Valid BLS

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

• Additional certifications may be required

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g.,BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
