Staff Nurse - IRL Internal Medicine/Float (80 - 100%)

Iowa River Landing Clinic Float Staff Nurse

The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking an 80% - 100% Float Staff Nurse for our IRL Clinics (Urology, Allergy, Pulmonary, Internal Medicine, Diabetes, Podiatry). The Staff Nurse is charged with the responsibilities of assessing patients' nursing care needs, evaluating effectiveness of care provided, integrating nursing theory, and ensuring patient care standards are met.

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate patient responses.
• Responsible and accountable for the provision of care for patients.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.
• Perform telephone triage.
• Support direct patient care including but not limited to rooming, vaccines, and assisting with in clinic procedures.

Percent of Time: 80 - 100% (based on candidate preference)

Schedule: Monday Friday from 08001700

Education and Certification Requirements:

• An Associate's degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master's degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire.

Experience Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting.
• Experience working with EPIC.
• Previous Triage experience.
