Technical Manager

Technical ManagerHood Container Corporation is seeking a Corrugated Converting Box Professional to join our Corporate Analytics and Improvement team. The Technical Manager will provide subject matter expertise in either Maintenance, Reliability, and/or Operations for our Corrugated Box & Converting operations in the U.S. This position will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and is remote with travel at least 75% of the time.Job Responsibilities:Model safe work practices and leadership characteristics consistent with Hood Container Guiding Principles (Care, Serve, Evolve, Empower, & Trust)Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Maintenance, Reliability, or Operational Best PracticesLead data analysis to identify areas for business improvement, including equipment, processes, systems, or other elements of the businessDevelop strategic and tactical plans to achieve measurable improvements around safety, quality, productivity, reliability, waste, and costsLead, coach, and mentor employees to utilize continuous improvement tools, such as Lean Manufacturing, statistical analysis, scientific thinking, root cause analysis, and standard workLead on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic events, partner with leadership to develop project road map and key milestones for sustainable practicesCommunicate findings, action plans, and status updates to multiple levels of the organization (including VP of Operations)Effectively engage other subject matter experts, site leaders, operators, and OEM/VendorsRequirements:Demonstrated expertise in Corrugated Industry, preferable experienced with diverse converting equipmentExperiencing using a process approach to make operational improvements (E.g.
