Registered Nurse - Cardiac Med/Tele (Nights)

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12HR: 7P-7A Thursday - Saturday block, totaling 36 hours per week. Must work at least one holiday per contract.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Cardiac Med/Tele unit, which consists of 43 beds, managing the needs of patients with cardiac conditions. The nurse will be accountable for patient assessments, administering medication, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse population with cardiac conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Document patient care in the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Float to other units as needed according to facility scheduling demands.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
