Career Area Technology, Digital and Data Job Summary This Global Digital Product Owner role focuses on managing the development and support of the CAT Foresight CVA and Planned Maintenance products. The position provides day‑to‑day support to design and development teams, Cat Foresight users, and field service staff for product implementation, customization, and problem resolution. Key Collaborators Lead Product Owner for FM AI/Analytics (Availability) US and Slovakia based Cat Foresight product managers and owners (Alignment) Stakeholders in Resource Industries (Discovery) Job Site Solutions fleet manager users and support teams (Discovery) Fleet manager counsel (Discovery) Cat Foresight Program Management (pre‑production) Engineering teams based in US, Slovakia, India (pre‑production) Cat Digital Dealer Adoption division (post‑production) What You Will Do Collaborate closely with digital product managers, Cat Foresight users, development teams, and CAT Digital Support. Identify opportunities to improve user workflow, user experience, and user‑driven innovations. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, acceptance criteria, UI changes. Support prioritization of product backlog features. Enable user adoption and growth. Drive the development timeline of product strategic roadmap, continuous improvement, and integration features. Provide proactive support to drive timely product quality improvements. Document bugs and issues. Provide tier‑2 level hand‑off support. What You Will Have Decision‑making and critical‑thinking skills with extensive knowledge of tools and techniques. Effective communication skills and understanding of communication concepts. Software change request management expertise. Software problem management experience. Software product business knowledge. User acceptance testing (UAT) experience. Considerations For Top Candidates Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related field. Industrial domain expertise (services contract management, equipment management, maintenance planning). Practical knowledge of Cat Foresight product toolset, specifically CVA and Planned Maintenance. Familiarity with Cat Digital ecosystem and business processes. Comfortable working with offshore teams and remote employees. Familiarity with AI. Career experiences: 3–5 years as an application developer or digital product owner; experience driving digital/software development and UI design. Experience engaging with Cat dealer users. Demonstrated skills: collaboration, communication, workflow diagram design, critical thinking, Agile and waterfall development, software development expertise, tools such as AHA, Azure DevOps, Figma, WhatFix, Confluence, and AWS exposure. Travel expectations: 10% globally. Location This position will be based in one of our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; or Dallas (Irving), TX offices. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
