Opportunity for Impact
The Jewish Education Project is a global force strengthening Jewish identity, connecting young Jews to Israel, and helping young people stand up to antisemitism and hate. We believe that Jewish education must continually evolve to meet the needs of today's youth, and we equip educators with innovative tools to bring vibrant Jewish experiences to their learners and families.
About the Role
As The Jewish Education Project deepens its impact in New York and across North America, the Director of Institutional Giving will serve as the operational and relational engine of a growing foundations program. This is a senior development role for a professional ready to build, manage, and sustain a sophisticated institutional giving portfolio, as well as deepen their leadership over time.
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer and working in close partnership with the CEO and C-Suite, the Director will hold direct responsibility for a portfolio of funders, lead proposal and stewardship work, and coordinate with organizational leaders on funder relationships stewarded at the executive level.

- Collaborate with program, marketing, data, and finance colleagues to gather impact data, build budgets, and ensure all materials reflect the agency's current priorities
Systems, Infrastructure, and Team
- Develop and maintain a robust institutional giving pipeline through prospect research, opportunity identification, and customized cultivation strategies
- Own the master calendar of submission deadlines, grant deliverables, and reporting milestones, ensuring all commitments are met with excellence
- Establish and reinforce standards of excellence in IG processes, deliverables, and measurement systems
- Supervise the Institutional Giving Manager, providing mentorship and day-to-day guidance
- Work collaboratively with the broader Advancement team, which is focused on major individual gifts, to ensure coordinated funder strategies and a unified case for support
- Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer on strategy development for both short- and long-term institutional giving goals
