Job Announcement The City of Chandler City Clerk's Office is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a City Clerk Specialist. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Note: We anticipate conducting oral interviews for this position during the week of September 21st. Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler. Why work for Chandler? Election assistance and passport applications are just some of the services provided, along with a multitude of information and records regarding the City Code and City Council actions. The City Clerk's Office preserves legal documents and is the source of information on City Council legislation and actions. The City Clerk's Office conducts all municipal elections, assists the Mayor in administering the appointment of members to serve on various City boards and commissions, and provides services to the public including passport services, public records requests, and oversees Chandler's boards and commissions, and the Chandler Municipal Code and City Charter. Who we are looking for Our new team member will serve as an essential member of the City Clerk's Office passport acceptance team, with passport services representing a primary responsibility for this position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. They will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while providing professional and courteous support to the public, elected officials, and City staff. Minimum qualifications A High School Diploma or GED; and 2 years of administrative support experience; and Passport Acceptance Agent Designation within three (3) months of hire or promotion; and Notary Public Certification within three (3) months of hire or promotion; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
