Advanced Practice Clinician - Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

Position Overview Planned Parenthood Great Plains is seeking a Full‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work at our Health Center in Columbia, MO. The NP/PA will serve as the primary provider of medical services, delivering direct care for family planning, gender‑affirming care, and primary care. Responsibilities include assessment of clinical needs, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and collaborating with the Medical Director and other clinicians to meet medical standards and guidelines. Provide quality health care services, including exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling for clients in accordance with PPGP protocols and Medical Standards & Guidelines. Serve as a medical resource for licensed and non‑licensed staff, providing leadership in all aspects of comprehensive clinical services. Secure complete health history, including gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial information, and record findings accurately. Perform physical examinations with special emphasis on the reproductive system; breast, pelvic examinations, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of STIs, and other specialized procedures as dictated by medical policy. After observation and approval, provide direct medical care to patients for all core services, including but not limited to family planning services. Participate in customer‑focused goals, provide referrals, and ensure follow‑up. Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by affiliate medical protocols. Consult with Medical Director and other clinicians to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines. Provide health instruction on family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and health promotion. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Missouri. Ability to work some Saturdays. Ability to travel to health center locations in Missouri (minimal travel expected). One to three years of provider experience required. Experience with electronic medical records systems; Epic experience is a plus. Bilingual fluency is a plus. Benefits Work week: 37.5 hours. Sign‑on bonus: $2,500 after 60 days and $5,000 after 12 months of employment. Paid time off: Vacation 112.5 hours, Sick leave 48 hours, Holidays 105 hours (including a full holiday week in December).
