Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients in an acute care setting
- Develop individualized treatment plans to restore function and reduce pain
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and home care
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment following infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in Maryland (or compact eligible)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable with floating to other units if needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in orthopedic, neurological, and medical/surgical rehabilitation
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment modalities
