Determines dimensions and other measurements to ensure that quality has been maintained.Dye checks material, when required, to determine surface defects.Sharpens knives and cutters and periodically checks gauging equipment to maintain proper level of operation and quality of product.Adheres to EPA regulations pertaining to the proper disposal of hazardous waste.REQUIREMENTS:Individual must have a High School Diploma or GED.Must have completed four years of industrial machine shop work as a Machinist or completed a Materion approved four-year apprentice program to skillfully operate and learn to operate machine tools, grinding machines & related equipment.Individual must have set up and grinding knowledge for extremely close tolerance work.CNC experience preferred.Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands.Must possess basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office products and email.Must have good verbal and written skills.Must have knowledge of intermediate math skills.Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to provide customer service.The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
