Director

A leading private investment firm focused on private credit and leveraged buyout strategies is seeking a Director to join its investment team. This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced investor to take full ownership of transactions and play a critical role in driving investment performance across the portfolio. Role Overview The Director will serve as the primary deal lead, overseeing transactions from initial diligence through execution and ongoing portfolio management. This individual will act as the "quarterback" on investments, coordinating internal and external stakeholders and ensuring disciplined underwriting, structuring, and post-close oversight throughout the full investment lifecycle. This role offers significant responsibility, direct exposure to senior decision-makers, and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping investment outcomes within a collaborative, high-performing investment team. Key Responsibilities Lead investments from initial review and diligence through closing and active portfolio management ("cradle to grave") Own financial modeling, valuation, and analysis for LBO transactions Manage third-party advisors and diligence workstreams Structure, negotiate, and execute transaction terms Present investment recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees Monitor portfolio company performance during the hold period and support value-creation initiatives Mentor junior investment professionals and contribute to overall team development Qualifications 10-15 years of experience in private equity Strong LBO experience is required or highly preferred Background in corporate private equity, leveraged finance, or credit investing Demonstrated ability to lead transactions independently from start to finish Exposure to multiple sectors is a strong plus Excellent analytical, communication, and execution skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Selby Jennings
