What we do is more than construction; we play a part in moving a vision from concept to reality.Our onsite Program Management team in Chicago, IL is looking to add a driven and collaborative Assistant Project Manager - BHS in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital Redevelopment Program at O’Hare International Airport. This position allows for the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team.Reporting to the BHS Project Manager (PM), your responsibilities will include partnering with client representatives and management of the appointed Construction Manager At-Risk (CMR). You’ll support the Project Managers with stakeholder coordination, interface management, design and construction oversight, value engineering, reporting, problem solving, risk assessments, preparation of presentation materials and day-to-day project and technical management of activities.You’ll assist with the preparation of project details in various phases, provide technical support to Project Managers with contract packages, and project execution plans. You’ll perform regular site walks to track project completion, facilitate the BHS RFI and submittals processes, assist in review of proposed design changes, assist with the technical review of design and construction documents, assist with review of the project schedule, track the CMAR’s submission of required reporting and compliance with contract documents, participate in various meetings and work sessions and serve as the acting PM in his absence. Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction5+ years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager at an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organizationExperience on projects with a minimum construction value of $100 millionRelated design and construction project management experience with building projectsWorking knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building Experience with vertical design and construction projectsAbility to work onsite full time at O’Hare International Airport with the program management teamIdeally, You’ll Also Have:Experience with airline data systems, building management systems, MEPFP systemsExperience with BIM modelingExperience working on Aviation project management teamsExperience working on alternate delivery contractsPMP, DBIA Professional, Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/registrationThis position will be as part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate will be hired by one of the JV or teaming partners#BIA #NorthPMCMOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
