Fabricator
We're looking for a Fabricator to join our high-performing team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, are quality-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we want to hear from you!
Duties
- Operate various fabrication machines, including: 2CNC press brakes, metal rollers, Rotary punch presses, coil straighteners and feeders, sanders, drills, grinders, and milling machines, as well as ironworkers, saws, and shears.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to produce precision parts.
- Accurately track labor and inventory through ERP systems; retrieve materials and monitor deadlines.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, angle gauges, and height gauges.
- Perform work in accordance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Support 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace; follow time management practices to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members and internal customers to resolve production or quality issues.
- Participate in training and complete forklift and overhead crane certification (provided in-house).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; 12 years of experience in a fabrication or job shop setting preferred.
- Proficiency operating multiple types of fabrication machinery listed above.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and basic data entry transactions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Sound problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail to ensure product quality and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work at a consistent pace in a setting with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements
Certifications
- Must pass internal forklift and overhead crane certification program. Training provided.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms, and communicate clearly.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, kneel, stoop, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift/move heavy items.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Exposure to metal chips, liquid coolants, moving parts, and airborne particles.
- Conditions may be humid or hot during summer months.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
