Manager, Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (Hybrid)

Job Overview The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Private Equity & Hedge Fund Accounting Teams. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service, accounting and administration services to our hedge and private equity fund customers. As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the accounting operations and resolution of accounting issues for clients. Responsibilities Act as the main contact for clients, demonstrating expertise in offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration for alternative funds. Manage the delegation of funds to your team. Coordinate and onboard new fund set‑ups. Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, working closely with all parties to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages. Coordinate and support various year‑end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards. Perform due diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations. Adhere to Anti‑Money Laundering policies and procedures when reviewing all fund transactions. Ensure your team complies with department rules and regulations designed to prevent illegal income generation. Generate and reconcile all accounting reporting, such as month‑end valuation reports, and review and approve valuations prior to distribution to clients with a goal of 100% accuracy. Authorize wire payments from fund’s escrow accounts. Correspond with investment managers regarding day‑to‑day inquiries, including transaction questions, administration servicing, planning and reporting of funds and financial statements. Resolve open issues and questions with investment managers, transfer agents, sales and service teams, and obtain support from internal technology and vendor support when necessary. Conduct performance appraisals, hold monthly one‑on‑ones with supervisors and analysts, and provide career pathing and training. Ensure staffing requirements are met by assessing resource requirements, interviewing candidates and hiring employees. Champion a team environment, promote individual development, facilitate promotions and address disciplinary actions. Support new business development and relationship teams through prospect calls, client visits and presentations. Facilitate the onboarding of new and converted clients by gathering requirements, submitting custom requests and communicating key deliverables to team members. Participate in various IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify processes across the division and organization. Qualifications BA or BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fund services industry, with alternative experience required. Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory or management experience. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
