Cybersecurity Vulnerability Remediation & Change Management Analyst Mode of Work: 100% Onsite (Austin, TX) Total Required Experience in Years: 1215+ Years The Cybersecurity Vulnerability Remediation & Change Management Analyst will serve as the primary coordinator for enterprise vulnerability remediation activities across Windows, Linux, and Citrix server environments. This role focuses on managing vulnerability remediation efforts that fall outside standard patching cycles, including emergency, high-risk, exception-based, and out-of-band remediation activities. The analyst will work closely with Cyber Security Operations (CSOC), Infrastructure Teams, Server Operations, and Change Management teams to ensure vulnerabilities are remediated in a timely, auditable, and compliant manner using ServiceNow IT Remediation Workspace. This position is highly focused on coordination, governance, reporting, change management, and remediation tracking rather than hands‑on server administration or patch deployment. Key Responsibilities Vulnerability Remediation Coordination Review, triage, and manage vulnerability remediation assignments within ServiceNow IT Remediation Workspace. Coordinate remediation efforts for critical, emergency, and exception-based vulnerabilities. Serve as the central liaison between Security Operations, Infrastructure Teams, and Server Operations. Track remediation progress, dependencies, blockers, and outstanding actions. Ensure remediation activities align with organizational vulnerability management policies. Drive remediation efforts to closure according to established risk priorities. ServiceNow Administration & Tracking Manage Vulnerability Remediation Tasks (VULs). Create and maintain associated Change Requests. Track impacted Configuration Items (CIs). Maintain remediation documentation, implementation plans, testing evidence, and rollback procedures. Validate remediation records for audit and compliance requirements. Coordinate remediation sequencing across multiple infrastructure teams using ServiceNow workflows. Change Management & CAB Coordination Prepare and submit Standard and Normal Change Requests. Present remediation changes to Change Advisory Board (CAB). Communicate security risk and urgency, scope of impact, remediation strategy, testing plans, rollback procedures, and risk mitigation controls. Coordinate approval processes and follow‑up activities. Ensure approved changes are executed within established maintenance windows. Cross‑Platform Server Coordination Coordinate remediation activities across Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), and Citrix infrastructures. Work with platform SMEs to understand remediation requirements. Ensure consistency of remediation tracking across all platforms. Reporting, Compliance & Governance Track outstanding vulnerabilities, remediation status, change approvals, validation evidence, and closure documentation. Support audit and compliance activities. Prepare executive and operational vulnerability reports. Identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies. Recommend enhancements to remediation and change management processes. Proven experience coordinating vulnerability remediation in enterprise environments. Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow IT Remediation Workspace. Experience creating and managing Change Requests within ServiceNow. Experience presenting remediation plans to Change Advisory Boards (CAB). Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes. Practical knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), and Citrix Infrastructure. Experience supporting government, regulated, or large enterprise organizations. Experience coordinating emergency and out‑of‑band vulnerability remediation. Experience supporting audit and compliance initiatives. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent remediation efforts. Education Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
