Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexibility required for late shifts up to 7:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays)

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Medical Assistants to join our clinical care team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a Community Health Center (FQHC) environment. You will be responsible for rooming patients, performing clinical and diagnostic lab procedures, administering immunizations, and maintaining seamless daily clinic workflows across local care sites.

Responsibilities

• Patient Intake & Care: Greet patients, escort them to examination rooms, measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight, temperature), conduct routine screenings (e.g., PHQ-2), and accurately log medication and allergy histories in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Clinical & Laboratory Procedures: Perform diagnostic testing, calibrate clinic equipment, execute quality control checks, and collect/process laboratory samples in compliance with safety standards and clinical protocols.
• Medication & Immunization Administration: Administer routine medications and vaccines under clinician direction, ensuring precise documentation in the EHR and state immunization databases.
• Care Coordination & Communication: Manage incoming urgent communications from healthcare facilities, process prescription refill requests, enter medical referrals, and route lab findings to ordering providers.
• Clinic Operations & Patient Flow: Keep examination rooms clean, sanitized, and fully stocked. Partner closely with administrative and front-desk staff to ensure efficient patient movement throughout the clinic.
• Compliance & Professional Standards: Maintain patient confidentiality strictly in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Adhere to all organizational policies and complete annual training and clinical skills evaluations.
• Operational Flexibility: Provide clinical coverage across local clinic sites as needed to meet patient care needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certifications: Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Immunizations: Up-to-date immunizations as required by clinical health standards.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, standard office equipment (fax, scanner, printer), and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and serve diverse patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) designation.
• Domain Knowledge: Prior experience or strong understanding of working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting.
• Language Skills: Bilingual or multilingual fluency. xhyhwjd
