Lab Admin Support Specialist (FT, Days) - Center City

Pathology Office Assistant

Responsible for daily distribution of pathology slides, mail, billing and charge reconciliation. General office duties including but not limited to telephone, faxing and filing. Special projects as requested.

Job Duties

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Basic office function (fax, mail, file, telephone)
• Billing
• Scan into the hospital laboratory system reference results
• Responsible for incoming, outgoing consult and legal cases
• Assist in tumor board preparation
• Distribution of pathology cases
• Monitor office supply inventory
• On call schedules

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with ability to read and communicate in the English language. Computer skills.
• Microsoft Office

Additional Qualifications:

Physical demands: Lift and carry 25 lbs. Frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use. Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
