Application ProgrammerGenesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.The candidate for this Backend/ETL developer position will be responsible for designing and developing batch/ETL interfaces using a proprietary metadata-driven approach. This role involves the maintenance and support of existing interface processes, including issue investigation, production troubleshooting, and maintaining data lineage to facilitate end-to-end traceability. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for liquidity report-specific derivations.Responsibilities:Design and develop batch/ETL interfaces using a proprietary metadata-driven approachMaintain and support existing interface processes including investigation of issues and production troubleshootingMaintain data lineage to facilitate end-to-end traceability as and when changes to the ETLHandle Liquidity report specific derivationsImplement ETL solutions for large volumes of data by applying various data warehouse modeling techniques like Star Schema, Data partitioning, Data compression, and Direct path loadsPerform application tuning using various tools like EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL*TRACE, TKPROF, AUTOTRACE and AWR ReportsMaintain high standards and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance and general structureRequirements:7-10 years' experience in Oracle Exadata, SQL, PL/SQL2-3 years' experience in SQL Performance tuningClear understanding of Oracle Server Process Architecture and memory structures PGA (Program Global Areas) and SGA (System Global Areas) to optimize memory usageKnowledge about Oracle VPDExpertise in performance profiling, ability to identify performance improvements and memory optimizationsStrong coding, debugging, and analytical skillsKnowledge about Oracle architecture and processKnowledge of computer science data structures and algorithmsExperience with Analytic reporting tools like TableauAnalytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skillsExperience working in ContainersKnowledge about Python and Apache AirflowExperience in CICD, Jenkins, GitExperience working in Agile teamsDesired Skills:Experience working in regulatory projectsPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
