Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Architect to lead the design and technical execution of projects from early design through construction. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, permitting processes, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative design-build environment. You’ll work closely with senior staff and the construction team to develop drawings, coordinate with consultants, and assist with project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project design and documentation from schematic design through construction administration
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases
• Prepare and oversee production of construction documents and specifications
• Manage permitting processes and coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings during construction
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client requirements
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and constructability efforts in collaboration with the construction team
• Mentor and support junior staff as needed
• Utilize emerging technologies (including AI tools) to improve design efficiency, coordination, and documentation workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Licensed Architect (preferred) or actively pursuing licensure
• 5-10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and detailing
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or tenant improvement projects preferred
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required) and Bluebeam a plus
• Familiarity with AI-driven design, documentation, or workflow tools or a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
