Join a dynamic, student-centered institution as the Director of Advising and Onboarding Services, where you will provide strategic leadership for the College’s Student Success Center across multiple campuses. This role offers the opportunity to shape innovative onboarding and advising experiences that ensure students receive timely, accurate, and engaging support from entry through persistence. You will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and campus partners to deliver integrated services both in‑person and virtually. Min Salary: $87,149.16 Mid Salary: $98,042.81 - Determined based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities Oversee the College’s Student Success Center, developing and executing student onboarding and advising strategies across campuses, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging support for students from entry through persistence. Lead cross‑departmental collaboration to deliver integrated services in‑person and virtually. Champion initiatives to improve recruitment, retention, and student success, using data to inform practice and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Education Required Earned Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field. Education Preferred Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field. Experience Required Five years of supervisory experience in higher education, including hiring, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance. Two years of budget experience with monitoring, compliance, and reporting. Two years of experience in education providing direct student support. Experience working in a fast‑paced service delivery area. Experience leading or advancing a broad range of student support services, including student development, new student online orientation, new student advising, and international student services/SEVIS. Experience Preferred Six or more years of supervisory experience in higher education across multiple campuses. Experience in a community college student advising office. Three or more years of direct student support experience in higher education. Experience developing and delivering student onboarding and online orientation. Experience supervising staff in remote work locations. KSA Required Strong understanding of Student Development Theory and its application to practice, creating retention intervention programs with collegewide collaboration. Ability to collect, analyze, and use data to inform practice and improve student success and retention. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective collaboration across cross‑college settings. Excellent interpersonal skills: collaboration, team participation, creative problem‑solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision‑making. Computer proficiency and familiar with integrating online and web‑based tools to support advising and retention. Strong project management, problem‑solving, delegation, and accountability skills. Good judgment and willingness to enforce college policy and procedures. KSA Preferred Experience with the community college system and understanding of its philosophy and mission. Department/Job Specific Requirements Must be able to travel to other campuses and off‑site meetings, including overnight stays. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records. Willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
