Job Description

This role focuses on performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment and building systems at a modern manufacturing site. You will diagnose equipment issues, analyze failures, and implement effective solutions while maintaining detailed technical documentation. The position combines hands-on mechanical and electrical work with continuous improvement activities to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment and systems to ensure reliable and safe operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Execute maintenance and repair work orders in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Conduct equipment failure analyses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare clear technical reports documenting equipment modifications, maintenance procedures, and repair activities.
• Perform training for team members on troubleshooting and repair techniques used on equipment.
• Carry out building maintenance activities both inside and outside the plant, supporting overall facility upkeep.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair work.
• Advise on and recommend new or improved methods, tools, and equipment to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with production and other departments to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while performing maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or maintenance engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
• Proficiency working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency working with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with industrial electrical systems and three-phase power.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems.
• Capability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
• Experience performing equipment repairs, adjustments, and component replacements in a production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct basic failure analysis on equipment.
• Commitment to working safely and following established safety procedures and guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley City, OH.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
