Assistant Production Manager - Signage Manufacturing Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Maryland-based facility) Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 + Benefits + Bonus Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, HSA, 401(k) w/ Match, PTO, Paid Holidays Typical Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm Assistant Production Manager Description Our client, a leader in custom signage manufacturing, is looking for an Assistant Production Manager to add to their team as a long-tenured leader transitions out of the position. In this highly visible leadership role, you will lead shop personnel, manage workflow across multiple departments, and help engineer custom fabrication projects from concept through production. You will oversee daily operations within the fabrication plant, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to quality standards. This position requires a balance of leadership, technical fabrication knowledge, and engineering problem-solving ability. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of metal fabrication, vinyl, plastics, CNC routing, and paint, along with the ability to troubleshoot and develop solutions for custom builds. Experience in signage manufacturing is required. This role requires a hands‑on leadership style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage workflow, personnel, and production priorities across 50+ active custom projects simultaneously.
