Director, DHT Coordinator, GDMS Data Integration and Automation - Hybrid

Merck seeks a Director of Digital Health Technology to lead strategy and execution across a therapeutic area portfolio. The role manages DHT system delivery, data integration, compliance, and governance while ensuring GxP and Part 11 standards, overseeing service providers, and building organizational capability through mentorship and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee DHT portfolio and program delivery across full lifecycle from pre-production readiness through decommissioning with audit-ready documentation
• Monitor data integration quality, system interoperability, and error handling; proactively identify and resolve systemic issues
• Establish and scale therapeutic area-level standards, templates, and design patterns for DHT systems and reporting
• Hold service providers accountable for quality and innovation; ensure service levels align with strategic milestones
• Lead governance participation, capability building, and mentorship; develop curricula and succession planning frameworks

Requirements

• Advanced expertise with eCOA or Digital Health Technology platforms in clinical trials
• Expert-level knowledge of clinical development, electronic data capture, and clinical data management
• Advanced understanding of UAT, system validation, and regulatory compliance for clinical data systems
• Demonstrated ability to establish therapeutic area-wide DHT requirements and standards
• Strong influence and stakeholder alignment skills across cross-functional teams
• Project management expertise with ability to lead technical teams and drive delivery
• Business acumen to evaluate platforms, assess build vs. buy decisions, and manage trade-offs
