DENTAL INSURANCE CORDINATOR

In this essential role, you'll be the bridge between our patients and their insurance providers, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience from check-in to claim resolution. Responsibilities: Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits for patients prior to appointments Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims, including primary and secondary billing Review and process EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and post insurance payments accurately Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve claim denials, appeals, and discrepancies Educate patients on their insurance coverage, co-pays, and out-of-pocket responsibilities Maintain accurate patient records and insurance information within dental practice management software Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure proper coding (CDT codes) and documentation for claims Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in dental insurance coordination or dental billing Familiarity with dental insurance plans including PPO, HMO, and Medicaid Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) Strong knowledge of CDT coding and insurance claim submission processes Excellent communication and patient-facing customer service skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting or billing certification a plus About Us: Rajal J Patel DDS PA is a trusted dental practice serving the Orange, NJ community with a commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care.
